ભારતની આઝાદીના પહેલા દિવસને યાદ કરવા માટે આપણે દર વર્ષે 15 ઓગસ્ટના રોજ સ્વતંત્રતા દિવસ ઉજવણી સાથે મહાન વીર શહીદોના બલિદાનને યાદ કરીએ છીએ જેમણે ભારતની આઝાદી માટે પોતાની આહુતી આપી હતી, ભારતને 15 ઓગસ્ટ 1947ના રોજ બ્રિટિશ શાસનથી આઝાદી મળી હતી આઝાદી પછી દેશ વાસીઓને આપણા રાષ્ટ્ર અને માતૃભૂમિમાં તમામ મૂળભૂત અધિકારો મળ્યા હતા, ભારતમાં ઘણાં રાષ્ટ્રીય પર્વની ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવે છે તે પૈકીનો એક ભારતના ઈતિહાસનો મહત્વનો દિવસ એટલે 15 મી ઓગસ્ટ આ દિવસે ભારત બ્રિટીશ શાસનની 200 વર્ષની ગુલામીમાંથી આઝાદ થયો હતો, તેથી આ ગૌરવપૂર્ણ દિવસને સમગ્ર ભારતમાં સ્વતંત્રતા દિવસ તરીકે ઊજવવામાં આવે છે, આ દિવસે શાળા, કોલેજ, સરકારી કચેરી, તેમજ અનેક જાહેર સ્થળે ભારતના ધ્વજને સલામી આપી ધ્વજવંદન કરવામાં આવે છે.ભરૂચ જીલ્લાના ઝઘડીયા તાલુકાના રાજપારડી ખાતે સ્વતંત્રતા દિવસ નિમિત્તે એમ.ઈ.એસ નૂરાની હાઇસ્કુલ ખાતે ધ્વજવંદન કાર્યક્રમ યોજાયો હતો જેમાં શાળા ના ટ્રસ્ટી મુનાફ ભાઈ ખત્રી ના હસ્તે ધ્વજ ફરકાવવામાં આવ્યો હતો 15મી ઓગસ્ટ સ્વતંત્રતા દિવસ નિમિત્તે શાળામાં ઉપસ્થિત શાળાના ટ્રસ્ટી સલીમભાઈ શેખ, શિક્ષક ગણ,વિધાર્થીઓ,ગામના આગેવાનો, વાલીઓ મોટી સંખ્યામાં ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા
