નેપાળ બાદ હવે ફ્રાંસમાં પણ સરકારની નીતિઓ વિરુદ્ધ યુવાનોનો ગુસ્સો ફૂટી નીકળ્યો છે. ફ્રેન્ચ પ્રમુખ ઈમેન્યુઅલ મેક્રોન સરકારની નીતિઓનો વિરોધ કરવા લોકો પેરિસના રસ્તા પર ઉતરી ગયા છે.
આ દરમિયાન દેખાવકારોએ અનેક સ્થળે આગચંપી અને તોડફોડ કરી હતી, જેથી પોલીસે 200થી વધુ લોકોની ધરપકડ કરીને આંદોલન શાંત પાડવાના પ્રયાસ શરૂ કરી દીધા છે. દેખાવકારોનું કહેવું છે કે, આ સરકારે સામાન્ય લોકોનું જીવન સ્તર સુધારવા કોઈ જ કામ નથી કર્યું. સરકારનું ફાઈનાન્સિયલ મેનેજમેન્ટ પણ અત્યંત ખરાબ છે.
આ દેખાવોની શરૂઆત સોશિયલ મીડિયા પર ‘Block Everything’ આહ્વાનથી થઈ હતી. ત્યાર પછી લોકો રસ્તા પર સંગઠિત થઈને ઉતર્યા હતા. દેખાવકારોએ પેરિસ સહિતના અનેક સ્થળે ટ્રાફિક જામ કરી દીધો હતો. આ દરમિયાન અનેક સ્થળે દેખાવકારો અને પોલીસ વચ્ચે ઘર્ષણના દૃશ્યો જોવા મળ્યા હતા.
હજારોની સંખ્યામાં પોલીસકર્મીઓ દેખાવકારોને રોકવાના પ્રયાસો કરી રહ્યા હતા પરંતુ તેમના પર કાબૂ મેળવી શકાયો નહોતો. દેખાવકારોએ સમગ્ર ફ્રાંસમાં દેખાવો શરૂ કરી દીધા હતા અને ટ્રાફિક જામ કરી દીધો હતો. આ દરમિયાન કચરાના ડબા પણ સળગાવી દેવામાં આવ્યા હતા. ઠેર ઠેર પોલીસ સાથે દેખાવકારોની અથડામણ થતી જોવા મળી હતી.
